Description

The ASP began life as a semi-automatic S&W Model 39 pistol but was reworked by the Armament Systems and Procedures Company. Some improvements made were; clear Lexan grips which allow the user to see how many rounds remain in the magazine, Guttersnipe sights and perhaps most importantly, all the edges on the pistol were rounded and smoothed over to permit concealed carrying. While the ASP is no longer in production, the handgun was employed by CIA operatives in the 1970s as a close-range combat and defensive weapon.
