Description
The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is a powerful, six-shot, selective double-action revolver chambered for the .44 Magnum and based on S&W’s “N” frame. While it was first introduced in 1955, it found most of its popularity after the 1971 movie, “Dirty Harry,” as the iconic revolver carried by Clint Eastwood. After the movie’s release, S&W could not keep up with the demand for the Model 29. While the Model 29 was discontinued in the late 1990’s, S&W will sporadically release limited configurations based on the original Model 29 for devoted collectors.
