Description
This Ruger Mini-14 was a demilitarized version for the civilian market called a “Ranch Rifle”. The sights, were different, it had built in mounts for a scope and the flash suppressor was removed. In addition, this one has been further customized by the addition of a pink composite stock. As the brainchild of weapons developer Bill Ruger, the Ruger Mini-14 was patterned after the then-standard US military rifle (M14), and chambered for the relatively new 5.56x45mm round. The Mini-14s are generally known for their respectable reliability and accuracy. Since its introduction in 1973, the Ruger Mini-14 rifle has seen great success among both civilian shooters and a variety of police and security forces around the world. Until recently, this was the standard issue assault rifle used by New York’s Emergency Services Unit (ESU).
