Description

The GP-100 series was first introduced by Ruger in 1985 in order to update and replace the Six Series line of revolvers from 1971. The GP-100 series had a strikingly similar design to the Six Series’ however; it incorporated technological improvements made to the mechanism and distribution of metal. The gun is mainly constructed of three large steel segments, which contribute to the rigidity of the weapon and permits simple disassembly for cleaning. The GP-100s are double-action, 6-shot revolvers with standard cushion grips to allow rapid firing without shooter fatigue.
