The Taurus PT92 is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured by the Brazilian company Forjas Taurus SA. Originally, the PT92 was an exact copy of the Beretta 92 however has since seen various tweaks and upgrades. The PT92 is a recoil-operated, locked breech pistol that fires 9mm rounds. Along with an ambidextrous frame-mounted manual safety, it also has an automatic firing pin safety. While normally pistols made under such circumstances are troubled by malfunctions, the majority of users praise the PT-92 for its reliability, accuracy and reasonable pricing.
