Description
While the S&W M&P Model 19 revolver was introduced in 1935, it was previously known as the “.357 Combat Magnum” until the standardization of model-numbering in 1957. The revolver was produced until the end of the 20th century and became a favorite among police departments and gun aficionados. The Model 19 is a double-action, K-framed revolver complete with a swing-out cylinder, 6 chambers, an ejector rod, and boasts adjustable sights.
The “Military and Police” line of firearms by Smith & Wesson is perhaps the most successful revolver blueprint for revolvers in history. The M&P revolvers, as the name indicates, found unprecedented success in US police departments and various branches of the armed forces. Throughout its lifespan, an estimated 6 million M&P revolvers were manufactured and has since been copied by various manufactures and countries.
