Description

The M1 Garand is the highly celebrated and acclaimed rifle which served as the staple firearm of the US Military from 1936 to 1963. This gas operated, magazine fed firearm saw action in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The “” was the consequence of years of research and development by the firearm genius, John C. Garand. The Garand was the first semiautomatic rifle to be the standard small arm of the US Military; meaning a trigger pull would not only fire a round, but also chamber the next round. This not only greatly increased the rate of fire over bolt-action rifles, but made target-reacquisition much easier after each shot.
