The K9 is a 9mm, recoil-operated, locked-breech, semi-automatic pistol manufactured by the American manufacturing company, Kahr Arms. First introduced in 1995, the K9 was intended for concealed carry by citizens or as a backup/off duty firearm for law enforcement officers. With its compact size, and fully steel construction, the K9 is reliable and robust; essential for a personal defense weapon. Starting in 1998, for a brief period the K9 was an approved off duty carrying pistol for the NYPD. The K9 magazine holds seven-9mm rounds and is touted as having outstanding accuracy, good ergonomics and easy operation.
