Description
Produced since 1981 the P7M8 has seen service in German, American, and Greek law enforcement and military forces. The P7 pistol is unique due greatly to its peculiar trigger system. The P7 uses what is commonly referred to as a squeeze cocking mechanism. After the first round is chambered, the striker is cocked by depressing the large lever located at the front grip of the weapon. For all subsequent shots, striker is cocked automatically as the slide recoils. As soon as the grip and the cocking lever are released, the striker de-cocks automatically. Because of these features, the P7 has no manual safety and designed to be safely carried with a round in chamber.
