Description
The Glock 17 is the flagship design of the now famous Glock family of handguns manufactured by Glock Gmbh. The Glock pistol was first designed in 1980 by Gaston Glock, who three years later, won a contract to supply the Austrian Army with their new standard sidearm. In the years since, it has amassed a great deal of international popularity among law enforcement and military elements in over 50 countries.
The Glock 17 uses Glock’s trademark polymer assembly, keeping the firearm lightweight yet notoriously reliable. Most Glock models are short-recoil operated, locked breech pistols that are produced in multiple calibers, but most popularly in the 9mm configuration. This particular model is “OD” – which stands for Olive Drab, referring to the camouflaged color of the firearm.
