First unveiled in 2008, the Stealth Recon Scout (SRS) is bullpup, bolt-action sniper rifle that was developed by the American firearm manufacturer Desert Tactical Arms. The SRS weapon system look and feels unique when compared to traditional sniper rifles however, is purported to perform at the same level. Not only does the SRS claim to be 11 inches shorter than conventional sniper rifles, the SRS also boasts an unparalleled balance feel for the shooter due to the rifle’s bullpup design. The handgaurd and upper receiver are fitted with Picatinny rails which allow for a plethora of attachments including bipods, sights and scopes. As a newly available product marketed to the military and law enforcement communities, the success of this weapon is still unknown however seems very promising.
