Description

The Police Positive was first produced in 1907 and offered in either .32 or .38 caliber cartridges. The Police Positive is a small framed, double-action revolver featuring a six-round cylinder and fixed sights. It was offered in either blued steel or nickel-plated finishes in various barrel lengths. The Police Positive also sported an innovative safety mechanism known as the “Positive Lock” safety, which prevented the firing pin from striking the primer of the cartridge unless the trigger was deliberately pulled, preventing dropped guns from accidentally discharging. The Police Positive, as the name indicates, was primarily marketed to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. This handgun is complete with Ivory Scrimshaw grips and is blued.
